Riyadh – Mubasher: National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) announced Tuesday taking delivery of ‘Blue Pearl’ very large crude carrier.
Meanwhile, another VLCC, named ‘Blue Topaz’, will be delivered in January 2016.
The company said the financial impact of the delivery will be seen in the first quarter of 2016.
Earlier in October, Bahri board of directors gave the green light for buying two second-hand very large crude carriers (VLCCs) built in 2010 at Daewoo Shipbuilding Yard in South Korea.
The carriers were bought from DK Maritime, subsidiary of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., at a total value of $157 million.
