Saudi sports gaming startup ElGoat raises $266,000 funding to expand in MENA

Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia-based sportstech ElGoat has closed a $266,000 Seed funding round backed by Trigon, with a valuation of $2.66 million, according to a press release.

The fresh capital will be directed toward enhancing the platform’s product capabilities, accelerating user acquisition, and supporting expansion across the rapidly growing sports gaming market in the MENA region.

Founded in March 2026 by Mohammed Almunajem, ElGoat provides a knowledge-based football prediction platform aimed at redefining how fans engage with the sport beyond passive viewing. It allows users to predict match outcomes, exact scores, and goal scorers, earning points based on accuracy.

The startup covers major football competitions, including the English Premier League and Saudi Roshn League, with a scoring system that rewards both basic and advanced football knowledge.

ElGoat’s launch comes amid rising demand for interactive sports experiences across the Middle East, fueled by a young, mobile-first population and increasing appetite for digital entertainment.
