Saudi trade surplus records SAR227bn in 9M

Riyadh- Mubasher: Saudi Arabia posted a trade surplus of SAR227.1 billion in the first nine months of 2017, up from SAR197.73 billion in the January – August period, the General Authority for Statistics report showed on Monday.

Saudi total exports amounted to SAR591.4 billion in the first three quarters of the year, while imports reached SAR364.3 billion in the same period, the report said.  

Oil exports make up the majority of the kingdom’s exports.

The Saudi trade surplus registered SAR32.8 billion in September 2017, compared to SAR22.5 billion in the same period last year, according to the report.
