Saudi trade surplus with GCC hits SAR 1.8bn in December – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia registered a surplus of more than 107% year-on-year in non-oil trade with the GCC in December 2017.

The trade surplus hit SAR 1.81 billion ($483 million) during the last month of 2017, compared to SAR 876 million ($233.6 million) in the same month a year earlier, the Saudi General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) data revealed.

The kingdom's total non-oil merchandise exports to the GCC amounted to SAR 5.06 billion in December 2017, down from SAR 4.11 billion in the same month in the year before, while the nation's merchandise imports reached 3.24 billion against SAR 3.23 billion.

Non-oil merchandise exports between Riyadh and the GCC countries consist of domestic exports and re-export productions.
