Riyadh – Mubasher: Unemployment among Saudis reached 12.8% by the end of the third quarter of 2018, compared to 12.9% in Q2-18, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) said.
The jobless rate among Saudi male workers hit 7.5% from July to September 2018, up from 7.6% in Q2-18, while it reached 30.9% among female workers, down from 31.1%, the state-run statistics agency added.
The number of non-Saudi female employees decreased by 9,696 persons to 955,165 by the end of Q3-18, compared to 964,861 in Q2-18.
GASTAT’s report further indicated that the rate of unemployment for whole residents in the oil-rich kingdom remained unchanged at 6% in Q3-18.
