Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's wholesale price index inched down 0.6% year-on-year in January, the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported.
The drop of the kingdom’s wholesale price index was attributed to a 3% decrease in agriculture and fishery products section, and a 0.6% decline in food products, beverages and tobacco, and textile section, the state-run statistics agency added.
On the other hand, the prices of ores and minerals section edged up 0.6% in the first month of 2019.
On a monthly basis, the kingdom’s wholesale price index shed 0.4% to 116.4 points in January, from 116.9 points in December.
Month-on-month, agriculture and fishery products section levelled down 1.4% last month.
