Saudi workers wages’ pass SAR 7,000 in 2017 – GASTAT

Riyadh – Mubasher: Average of wages for Saudi employees in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) reached SAR 7,372 per month in 2017, against SAR 2,731 for non-Saudi workers, figures released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) as part of wages survey showed.

Saudi workers wages’ averaged SAR 9,897 in larger enterprises, the GASTAT added.

The industrial sector ranked first with the highest wages for the kingdom’s citizens with SAR 16,988, whereas the lowest wages were in the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector at SAR 3,776.

For non-Saudi employees, monthly wages in large companies reached SAR 3,665, while for medium, small, and micro enterprises, salaries amounted to SAR 2,823, SAR 2,541, and SAR 1,985, respectively in 2017.

The total number of Saudi workers in large, medium, small, and micro enterprises reached 1.7 million during 2017, against 5.3 million for non-Saudis.
