Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabians will transfer the ownership of their cars through Absher electronic gate of the Interior Ministry very soon, Saudi Gazette reported.
The process will be completed without the need to visit car showrooms.
“Citizens and expatriates will no longer have to go to the offices specialized in the transfer of ownership,” the newspaper said.
Selling, buying, and transfer of ownership can be done via Absher but the transfer of other ownerships concerning other trade activities of companies and establishments will still have to be done through the showrooms.
Absher is a smartphone application that allows Saudi citizens to use a variety of governmental services.
The application, launched in 2005, is providing more than 180 electronic services around-the-clock to more than 13.5 million subscribers.
It links as many as 26 ministries and government departments across the kingdom.
