Riyadh – Mubasher: Schneider Electric, in collaboration with Lifestyle Developers, and IHCC, has recently completed establishing the first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Saudi Arabia.
The station is located in Diyar Al Salam Residences at the Saudi city of Jeddah, according to a statement.
The first plan for implementing this facility started in the third quarter of 2017, the statement noted, giving no further details on the project's cost.
This investment is part of Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to diversify the country’s economic resources, with reducing dependence on oil.
Schneider Electric’s clients showed their interest previously to build EV charging stations in the Kingdom, which is forecast to boost EVs industry soon, CEO for Saudi and Yemen Najib Al-Naim said.
