Cairo – Mubasher: Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel), a joint venture between the state-run Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Italy’s Eni, has signed an EUR 7 million (EGP 152.17 million) contract with Schneider Electric.
As per the contract that will expire in December, the French electrical equipment producer will supply the supergiant Zohr gas field with an automatic control systems, Alborsa News reported on Monday.
Schneider Electric is also close to completing another deal to supply equipment and electric works in the second phase of the Zohr field.
It is noteworthy that Schneider Electric’s operations in the first phase of Zohr amount to EUR 60 million, including supplying essential equipment to wells.
