Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market's (MSM) benchmark MSM30 index rose at Tuesday’s close by 0.24% or 12.36 points to the level of 5,171.19 points.
Trading volume increased to 9.23 million shares from 6.62 million shares exchanged on Monday, as turnover also rose to OMR 2.29 million from OMR 1.77 million.
The services sector advanced 0.38% as Oman National Engineering topped gainers after adding 8.03% and Ooredoo Oman grew 2.17%.
The financial sector ascended 0.16% due to an increase of 0.95% in National Bank of Oman, 0.69% in Bank Sohar, and 0.64% in Al Anwar Holdings.
Meanwhile, the industries sector fell solely by 0.63% as Oman Fisheries was the top loser after declining 2.26%. Oman Flour Mills and Oman Cement retreated 2.24% and 1.35%, respectively.
