Services, real estate boost QSE at Tuesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 0.19% or 18.81 points to reach 9,870.58 points in Tuesday’s early trades.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, five sectors rose, led by the consumer goods and services sector with 0.74% as Medicare Group, Qatar Fuel (Woqod), and Al Meera Consumer Goods Company grew 1.47%, 1.31%, and 0.33%, respectively.

The real estate sector increased 0.23% after Ezdan Holding Group gained 0.46%.

The banks sector levelled up 0.17% as Islamic Holding Group, Qatar National Bank (QNB), and Masraf Al Rayan went up 2.12%, 0.58%, and 0.48%, respectively.

On the flipside, the insurance sector decreased 0.44% and the telecoms sector inched down 0.08% after Ooredoo dropped 0.1%.

Liquidity reached QAR 12.03 million, after 316,850 shares were exchanged, through 321 transactions.

Qatar First Bank (QFB) led in terms of traded volume with 58,650 shares, while Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) was the most active in terms of trading value with a liquidity of QAR 2.13 million.
