Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) inched up 0.01% or 1.3 points to 10,198.64 points in Monday’s early trades.
Sectors rose collectively, except the transportation and telecoms which shed 1.31% and 0.31%, respectively by 10:00am Qatar time.
The consumer goods and services sector led risers with a 0.34% increase as Widam Food Company gained 1.68% and Qatari German for Medical Devices rose 1.48%.
The real estate sector increased 0.3% after United Development Company and Ezdan Holding Group levelled up 1.68% and 0.26%, respectively.
The banks sector edged up 0.15% as Doha Bank, Al Khalij Commercial Bank, and Alijarah went up 2.11%, 1.72%, and 1.03%, respectively.
Al Khaleej Takaful Group led risers with a 7.05% growth, whereas Nakilat led losers after declining 1.71%.
Liquidity reached QAR 6.13 million, after 236,980 shares were exchanged through 271 transactions.
Nakilat topped stocks in terms of trading volume and value, trading 78,470 shares at a value of QAR 1.58 million.
