Dubai – Mubasher: China’s Shanghai Index shut Thursday on an up note, continuing with its positive performance seen in more than one session. It rose as much as 1.36% to end at a week-high of 3,585 point.
The index was buoyed by the decision of the International Monetary Fund to include the yuan into its benchmark basket.
Meanwhile, China’s Hang Seng Index shut 0.47% lower, while India’s Sensex shed 0.64%.
Asia Dow Jones Index slipped by 0.36%, while Singapore Index lost 0.26%.
Japan’s Nikkei Index was relatively stable amid plummeting foreign investments in the local bourse.
