Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has unveiled plans to expand its footprint in its home country the UAE by opening a new branch in the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium area in Al Ain.
The new branch is the bank’s second in the emirate and the 34th in the UAE, the bank revealed.
The newly-opened branch will allow SIB to reach out to a wider range of customers, whether individuals, corporates, or institutions, commented Nabil Abou Alwan, SIB’s head of retail banking.
The new branch in Al Ain will be operational from 9 am until 9 pm, the top official added.
Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has announced a 10.5% year-on-year rise in net profits to AED 397.7 million in the third quarter of 2018 from AED 360 million, while total assets grew 14.9% to AED 44 billion by the end of September 2018 from AED 38.3 billion as at the end of December 2017.
