Cairo – Mubasher: Sharqiyah Water and Sanitation Company signed an agreement with Metito Overseas Limited to build a wastewater treatment plant in a village in Sharkia, Ahram Gate reported on Thursday.
Under the deal, Metito Overseas will design, construct, supply, install, and support the operation of the wastewater treatment plant at a cost of EGP 242.5 million.
At a capacity of 12,000 cubic metres per day, the plant will serve residents in several villages in Faqus, Sharkia, the company’s chairman Sherif Farek said.
Total value of investments in the sanitation sector in Faqus amounted to EGP 925 million.
