Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, will pay an official visit to Singapore on Thursday to bolster ties with the Asian nation.
Mohamed Bin Zayed, who doubles as the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces, is visiting the Asian country at the invitation of Singapore’s president Halimah Yacob, The Straits Times, Singapore-based English-language daily newspaper, reported.
“Pleased to visit the Republic of Singapore and meet with Her Excellency Halimah Yacob. We're both keen to further strengthen our bilateral ties and are optimistic about their future,” Bin Zayed tweeted.
During the visit, the Crown Prince will meet Singapore’s prime minister Lee Hsien Loong, who will also host him to dinner.
Bin Zayed and Loong will also witness the exchange of the Joint Declaration on a Singapore-UAE Comprehensive Partnership.

The UAE is Singapore’s largest trade partner in the Middle East and its 16th largest partner globally, with bilateral trade nearing $18.1 billion.
Singaporean companies operating in the GCC nation include DBS Bank and SembCorp Utilities.
