Dubai – Mubasher: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, launched the 20 million square foot Dubai Harbour project, according to a bourse statement.
To be developed by Meraas Holding, the project is located in the area between Jumeirah Beach Residence and Palm Jumeirah.
The 1,400-berth marina will increase Dubai’s capacity for handling yachts by almost 50% from the current 3,000 berths in the Emirate.
The suburb will be completed in four years, the statement added.
It will have a shopping mall that covers 3.5 million square feet and will be spread over 20 million square feet in total.
