Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced signing a management agreement with Emaar Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, to operate a boutique hotel in Sharjah’s Al Qasba.
Named Vida Al Qasba Sharjah, the new development will be operated under Emaar Hospitality’s Vida Hotels and Resorts brand, according to an official statement.
“Sharjah’s tourism sector has recorded consistent growth with the number of hotel guests set to increase from 2.07 million in 2017 to over 3.16 million in the next two years,” CEO of Shurooq Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal commented.
Vida Al Qasba Sharjah comprises 100 rooms and suites, along with a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant, three meeting rooms, and a pre-function space equipped with advanced technologies, Emaar revealed.
“Sharjah has tremendous potential of growth for its hospitality and tourism sectors. Vida Al Qasba Sharjah addresses a distinctive white space in the market through its positioning as a lively and vibrant hub where inspiring minds meet and connect,” CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group Olivier Harnisch said.
The companies did not release details regarding the deal’s value.
