Sidpec to ink polypropylene plant licence Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals (Sidpec) will sign a polypropylene plant license contract with GRACE company on Thursday.

The contract will be signed under the supervision of the Ministry of Petroleum, Sidpec said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

In June, Sidpec signed a licensing agreement with US-based Honeywell UOP to set up a new polypropylene plant at its complex in Alexandria.

Petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla announced previously that Sidpec would sign a licensing agreement with GRACE company to begin the polypropylene production in early 2022.
