Cairo – Mubasher: A consortium comprises of Germany’s Siemens and Egypt’s El Sewedy Electric signed an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to build six power transformation plants at an output capacity of 550,220 Kilovolt.
Under the agreement, Siemens will provide the design, procurement, installation and operation of the power plants. Meanwhile, El Sewedy will be responsible for civil works and electro mechanic works in the project.
The Egyptian government earlier signed two agreements for Beni Suef power plant with a consortium led by Siemens and El Sewedy, at a total value reaching EUR 2 billion.
