Dubai – Mubasher: Siemens is planning to double its airport logistics workforce in Dubai over the next five years, company CEO Joe Kaser told Arabian Business on Wednesday.
The German engineering conglomerate employs 1,000 people in airport logistics in Dubai and projects to double the employees' number by 2022, Kaser said, adding that many employees will undergo a training in logistics’ “critical skills” and the Internet of Things (IoT).
“We employ 386,000 people globally and spend over $600 million every year in next-generation training,” the top official revealed.
"People who are trained and are employable have options, and people who have options are not scared about the future. That’s the way we look at it, and we’re going to demonstrate that at Expo 2020,” the CEO concluded.
