Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) suspended its vinyl acetate monomer plant of the International Vinyl Acetate Company (IVC) for scheduled periodic maintenance.
The maintenance is expected to increase both the efficiency and reliability of IVC, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
The scheduled turnaround maintenance started on Tuesday, 30 May, and will last for three weeks.
The financial impact of the maintenance will be announced once the activity is completed and will also be reflected in the financial results of the second quarter of 2017.
The necessary precautions have been taken to ensure that commitments to customers are met without interruption during this period, the statement said.
