Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved a funding agreement to purchase 100 locomotives for the Egyptian National Railways (ENR).
Egypt and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed a funding agreement worth EUR 290 million on 19 June 2017, the Egyptian Official Gazette reported on Thursday.
The agreement has been effective as of 18 October 2019.
