Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has inaugurated several major projects in Damietta on Tuesday, according to state TV.
The second western Damietta power plant was upgraded to a combined-cycle system at a cost of EGP 3.9 billion, the governor of Damietta, Manal Awad, said.
In addition, a 680-metre multi-purpose terminal at Damietta port has also been inaugurated by the Egyptian president.
Awad revealed that the cost of the terminal stands at EGP 1.3 billion.
Moreover, El-Sisi inaugurated several other projects, including electric station at Damietta Furniture City, Steigenberger Hotel El Lessan in Ras El Bar, a civil education centre, and Dar Misr Project in New Damietta which comprises 194 residential buildings.
