Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors.
By 09:45 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.12% to 10,800.27 points, adding 12.52 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 44.5 million after 1.2 million shares were traded through 856 transactions.
The real estate sector topped gainers with 1.31% as Ezdan Holding Group and United Development rose 2.06% and 0.56%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector inched up 0.05% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) surged 10%.
On the other hand, the telecommunication sector was the bourse’s only loser falling 0.49% as Vodafone Qatar went down 1.33%.
QAMCO’s stock, which plunged 0.64%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 358,700 shares, while Industries Qatar’s stock, which levelled up 0.07%, spearheaded the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 14.6 million shares.
