Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Six stocks traded higher on the UAE stock markets during Sunday’s mid-session, breaking apart from a host of fallers.
By 12:00 pm UAE time, the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) shed 0.79% or 19.80 points to 2,490.01 points, while turnover amounted to AED 57.86 million after 73.708 million shares were exchanged through 693 transactions.
Only four DFM-listed stocks were in the green, whereas the rest traded lower. The transport sector was the only riser adding 0.69% after Aramex gained 1.76%, while Ann Digital, Emaar Malls, and Amlak Finance increased by 1.33%, 0.57%, and 0.29%, respectively.
The DFM’s consumer staples sector led losers, falling 2.76%.
On the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the general index declined 0.71% or 34.66 points to 4,821.28 points, while turnover amounted to AED 31 million after 7.49 million shares changed hands through 298 transactions.
Methaq Takaful and Agthia were the ADX’s sole risers, adding 1.33% and 0.26%, respectively.
The real estate sector, however, was the top loser, sliding 3.15%.
