Dubai - Mubasher: A light earthquake on Sunday hit Qeshm Island in Iran and the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE and no damages were reported.
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shook Qeshm Island, leading to a tremor felt by the residents in Ras Al Khaimah, according to the National Center of Meteorology’s (NCM) statement.
The earthquake was at the depth of 10 kilometres and 120 kilometres off Ras Al Khaimah, the statement added.
The tremor was slightly felt by residents in the northern areas in the UAE and Dubai without any effect.
