Dubai – Mubasher: Sokotra Capital is reportedly leading a consortium of investors to acquire L’Aquaculture Tunisienne fish farm.
Following the acquisition, the Dubai-based company is planning to expand L’Aquaculture Tunisienne’s presence in North Africa and the Mediterranean basin, according to a company statement.
“It is all about efficiency and about feeding the growing population. The protein race has already started and we are very well positioned as a firm and as a team to benefit from it,” Sokotra Capital’s CEO Albert Momdjian said.
The deal’s value was not disclosed.
Sokotra Capital is mulling more investments in various fields including food manufacturing, processing and retail, and hospitality.
