Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt and South Korea are in talks to raise the bilateral investment value to $3 billion, said Joo Hyunghwan, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The two countries seek to cooperate in a number of fields, including infrastructure, textiles, supply of medical devices, water desalination, automotives, and electronics.
Egyptian - S. Korean business forum has been launched today and will consider different ways for strengthening economic cooperation and investment opportunities.
Intra-trade volume is estimated at $4.2 million, noting that Egyptian exports stand at $218 million and South Korean exports are at $2.2 billion, according to official data.
