Sovereign Fund of Egypt to reveal Tahrir Complex's business model in weeks

Cairo – Mubasher: The Sovereign Fund of Egypt will announce the new business model it will be using for Tahrir Complex within the coming few weeks, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday, citing the fund’s CEO, Ayman Soliman, as saying.

The complex will likely include a hospitality part or a service part, Soliman added during a virtual seminar organised by the Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Association.

Several assets were transferred to the fund under a presidential decree, including the Ministry of Interior’s old headquarters, the land plot of the dissolved National Democratic Party’s headquarters, El-Andalus Garden in Tanta, and the land plot of the Cosmic Village in 6th of October City.

Soliman further revealed that the fund is the most recent among the world’s 49 sovereign wealth funds.

The CEO affirmed that the fund will not compete with investors, but rather create new investment opportunities that lure more investors to inject cash and create new jobs.
