Dubai – Mubasher: Barceló Group plans to expand in the UAE through opening eight new hotels by the end of 2018.
The Spanish hotels and leisure group has reached the final phases to sign operation and inauguration contracts of the aforementioned hotels, Barceló added in a statement.
The Majorca-based group announced it will open two new four-star Occidental hotels in Dubai Production City. Each hotel will feature 239 rooms and suites, in addition to several conference and meeting halls.
Barceló Group will also launch a third hotel, which is currently under construction, in Al Jaddaf, the statement added, giving no further details on the cost of the projects.
The family-owned Spanish hotel group operates more than 230 hotels in 22 countries across the world.
