Mubasher: Spanish Supreme Court judge Pablo Llareno has withdrawn a European arrest warrant for ousted Catalan President Carles Puigdemont and four other ministers, as reported by the BBC.
The ruling explained that the Catalan leaders showed the willingness to return to Spain before the new regional elections, which will be held on 21 December, however, they can still face possible charges for sedition and rebellion, according to the judge.
Puigdemont and other Catalan leaders fled to Belgium a month ago, after declaring unilateral independence in a referendum ruled illegal by Spain.
