Dubai-Mubasher: The UAE markets are still controlled by speculators, especially amid the absence of positive catalysts, capital market analyst Ibrahim Al-Failakawi said.
The markets’ low liquidity was negatively affected by the decline of institutional investment, Al-Failakawi told Mubasher.
Institutional investors should invest in local stocks which reached attractive price levels, according to Mohammed Al-Anzi, an analyst at Capital Corp, noted.
The markets technically have good opportunities which should be seized, Al-Anzi said, noting that the UAE’s economy is solid despite the current global financial challenges.
The control of individual investors over the UAE exchanges makes the stocks’ prices continuously vulnerable to fluctuations, Al-Anzi noted.
