State-run entities' use of cutting-edge technology saves SAR500m

Riyadh – Mubasher: The use of state-of-the-art technologies at the Saudi ministries and state-run enterprises would save about SAR 500 billion, communications and information technology minister Abdullah Alswaha said.

The ministry has launched the national institutional structure of the digital government on Wednesday, Al Swaha added.

During the coming 60 days, the kingdom’s government will embrace a plan for digital transformation.

The ministry aims to implement digital transformation for 75% of the state-owned enterprises in the coming two years.

The benefits of digital government are rationalising expenses, improve efficiency, and enhance experience, Alswaha concluded.
