Abu Dhabi – Decypha: Strata Manufacturing plans to establish a new facility for aircraft parts manufacturing at Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park.
The new facility will be adjacent to the company’s current one in Al Ain City, covering a total area of 60,000 square metres, Strata deputy CEO, Ismail Ali Abdullah told Decypha.
On the sidelines of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) in Abu Dhabi, Abdullah said that the construction of the new facility is scheduled to start in 2018, while production should commence in 2020.
The new plant will more than double Strata’s production capacity, Abdullah.
Abdullah pinpointed that the plant will manufacture the horizontal tail plane for the Airbus A320 and the vertical fin for Boeing’s B787 aircrafts.
Established in 2009, Strata is a composite aero-structures manufacturing facility, located in Al Ain in the UAE. The manufacturing firm has partnerships with the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, and Leonardo-Finmeccanica Aero-structures Division.
