Cairo – Mubasher: The cargoes of Suez Canal’s maritime navigation on Saturday reached its highest record on a daily basis since establishing, after 65 vessels with a tonnage of 4.3 million tonnes crossed from the two sides, Mohab Mameesh Chairman and Managing Director said.
Three ships crossed Suez Canal, which their cargoes are between 150,000 and 200,000 tonnes, Mameesh added.
The number of vessels that crossed from the north convoy reached 34 ships with a tonnage of 2.4 million tonnes, and the giant container ship CSCL ATLANTIC OCEAN topped them with a tonnage of 182,000 tonnes, going to Singapore from the UK.
The ships which came from south amounted to 31 vessels with a tonnage of 1.9 million tonnes, led by the Danish large container ship MARIBO MAERSK with 200,000 tonnes cargoes, going to Netherlands from Malaysia.
The French giant container ship CMA CGM ZHENG HE crossed the canal with a cargo of 185,000 tonnes going to Greece from Singapore.
