Suez Canal revenues decline 2.8% in June

Cairo – Mubasher: The Suez Canal reported a 2.8% revenue drop on a monthly basis for June 2017, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Net revenues amounted to $427.2 million in June 2017, compared to $439.8 million in May 2017.

Meanwhile, the Suez Canal posted a 2% year-on-year revenue rise in June 2017 from $418.7 million in June 2016.

The canal achieved revenues of $1.29 billion in the second quarter of 2017 from $1.25 billion in Q2-16.

The targeted revenues from the Suez Canal Authority total EGP 66.1 billion ($3.6 billion), according to statement of the general budget for fiscal year 2017/2018.
