Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s revenues from the Suez Canal increased by 4.1% year-on-year or $33.2 million in March and April, according to official figures, Mohab Mamish, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, said on Wednesday.
Revenues amounted to $853.7 million in the past two months, compared to $820.4 million for the same two months last year.
Last February, the canal’s income fell 6.6% to $375.8 million, compared to $402.6 million for February 2016.
