Cairo – Mubasher: A total of 113 vessels passed through the Suez Canal after the end of the six-day blockage crisis caused by the massive cargo Ever Given ship, the Chairman of Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Osama Rabie, said.
He added that the Suez Canal is the safest international waterway, with the lowest cost and the best economic aspects in operations and transportation.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi thanked the canal staff for their efforts to end the crisis of the Ever Given container ship, which blocked the waterway for six days.
The president said that the canal is one of the world's most vital maritime arteries, noting that 12-13% of the volume of world trade passes through the Suez Canal, emphasizing that it will remain competitive despite any global developments.
