Dubai – Mubasher: Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, approved the 2017 budget of AED 20.3 billion, an increase of 8% year-on-year.
Government spending is expected to rise by 7% year-on-year percent, according to a press release published on the emirate’s Twitter account.
The emirate will allocate 31% or AED 6.82 billion of its total budget for infrastructure, 20% or AED 4.4 billion for social development, and 7% or AED 1.54 billion for social support, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), said.
