TAQA, Aldar drag ADX down at Monday’s open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Monday’s trading session in the red, pressured by the fall of five stocks led by TAQA and Aldar Properties.

The general index fell 0.06% or 2.79 points to reach 4,433.64 points by 10:50am UAE time.

The investment sector retreated 2.15% as Waha Capital declined 2.26%. The energy sector also sank 0.5% after TAQA levelled down 2.13%.

The real estate sector tumbled 0.37% due to a decline in Aldar by 0.8%.

The market saw trading of 58.12 million shares through 520 transactions, with a turnover of AED 65.99 million.

Eshraq Properties was the value leader and most active stock after generating AED 44.3 million from the exchange of 38.42 million shares.
