Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index opened Sunday in the red, pressured by blue chips TAQA and Etisalat.
The index slipped 0.13% or 5.94 points to 4,602.34 points by 11:15 am UAE time.
Turnover reached AED 26.89 million after 13.85 million shares were traded through 286 transactions.
The telecom sector lost 0.56%, leading losers, after Etisalat saw the same decline, while the energy sector shed 0.44% after Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (TAQA) retreated 1.6%.
The real estate sector was down 0.15% on Eshraq’s 0.9% decline, while banks inched down 0.04% after Union National Bank (UNB) lost 0.8%.
