Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi National Energy’s (TAQA) stock saw active trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Sunday, rising to its highest level in two months.
The stock went up 14% by 12:50 pm UAE time to AED 0.57, its highest level since June 2017.
TAQA was the most active after generating AED 27.18 million, accounting for one third of the ADX's liquidity, from the exchange of 48.4 million shares.
The stock pushed the energy sector to rise 1.12%, whereas Dana Gas fell 1.56%.
The ADX lost 0.88% or 40.02 points to 4,510.91 points, generating AED 74.07 million from the exchange of 78.36 million shares.
TAQA turned profitable in the second quarter of 2017 after generating AED 288 million, against losses incurred in the prior-year period.
