Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 79.37 points, or 0.93%, to 8,454.79 points.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume reached 25.3 million shares exchanged through 21,000 transactions at a turnover of SAR 569 million.
The banking and materials sectors levelled down 1.53%, and 0.6%, respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector led risers with 1.64%, and the telecommunication services sector inched up 0.11%.
Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance’s stock was the worst performer with 2.25%, while the stock of Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co was the best performer with 7.8%.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, remained unchanged at 3,756.7 points.
The joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, shed 12.38 points, or 0.98%, reaching 1,245.3 points.
