Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) inched up at Monday’s early trading activities after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) increased 7.5 points, or 0.09%, to 8,570.95 points.
By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 28.4 million shares exchanged through 20,000 transactions at a turnover of SAR 551 million.
The food and staples retailing sector led gainers with 0.55%, followed by the transportation sector with 0.52%.
The telecommunication services, materials, banking sectors rose 0.21%, 0.09%, and 0.06%, respectively.
On the other hand, the media sector was the worst performer with 0.3%, while the utilities sector shed 0.27%.
Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Khodari Sons Company’s stock was the best performer after adding 10%, while the stock of Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company led losers with 1.5%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 3,685.74 points.
The joint index between Tadawul and MSCI, MT30 index, went up 0.33 points, or 0.03%, reaching 1,265.47 points.
