Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the green, hitting the highest level in 21 sessions.
The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 1.34%, or 98.42 points, to finish at 7,425.57 points.
TASI’s liquidity increased to SAR 3.09 billion on Monday, against SAR 3.01 billion on Sunday, while the trading volume went up to 147 million shares from 146.34 million in the previous session.
The media sector topped the market’s gainers adding 2.83%, followed by the energy, banking, materials and telecommunications services sectors, which rose 1.98%, 1.76%, 1.63% and 1.04%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the consumer durables and apparel sector led the market’s three losers with 0.37%.
Al Inmaa headed TASI in terms of liquidity with SAR 443.2 million, while Dar Al Arkan led the market in terms of trading volume with 27.08 million shares.
On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, increased 0.29%, or 8.66 points, to 2,993.66 points.
Al Samaani's stock spearheaded NOMU's gainers surging 20.03% to SAR 77.90, while Baazeem’s stock was the parallel market's only loser after declining 3.77% to SAR 25.50.
