Riyadh- Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Thursday in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched down 0.08%, or 6.11 points, to 7,411.06 points.
By 11:13 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume amounted to 41.61 million shares, at a turnover of SAR 943.19 million through 27,990 transactions.
The pharmaceuticals sector topped the market’s losers with 0.7%, followed by the Diversified Financials sector and telecommunication services sectors, which levelled down 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively.
The material and banking sectors declined 0.3% and 0.2%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the food retailing sector topped the market’s nine gainers by 1.5%, followed by the media sector, which grew 1.2%.
Moreover, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, was unchanged at Thursday's early trades, closing Wednesday's trading session at 2997.01 points.
Arab Sea's stock topped NOMU's decliners with 1.6%, while Al Samaani’s stock spearheaded the risers after adding 23.3%.
