Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday down after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 21.73 points, or 0.29%, to 7,471.9 points.
TASI’s traded volume reached 110.57 million shares on Monday, against 154.2 million on Sunday, while liquidity declined to SAR 2.7 billion ($721.87 million), from SAR 3.1 billion ($826.93 million).
The insurance sector edged down 0.98%, followed by pharmaceuticals with 0.84%, and banks with 0.74%.
On the other hand, the media, materials, and telecommunication services sectors went up 1.18%, 0.14%, and 0.1%, respectively.
AXA Cooperative Insurance’s stock was TASI’s worst performer after falling 3.11%, to close at SAR 24.60, whereas City Cement’s stock rose 6.36% to SAR 11.20.
Al Inma Bank’s stock, which slid 0.15% to close at SAR 19.96, topped the bourse in terms of trading volume after 17.84 million shares were changed hands with a turnover of SAR 356 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, fell 29.24 points, or 0.95%, to 3,040.88 points.
Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock dropped 4.76% to SAR 64, whereas Development Works Food’s stock grew 4.07% to SAR 69.
