TASI, Nomu end Sunday down

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday in the red after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 42.31 points, or 0.57%, to 7,368.85 points.

TASI’s trading volume reached 132.23 million shares on Sunday, against 168.77 million on Thursday, while traded value declined to SAR 3.25 billion ($865.6 million), from SAR 4.36 billion ($1.16 billion).

The commercial and professional services sector fell 3.73%, followed by the healthcare equipment and services with 1.5%, banks with 0.65%, and materials with 0.63%.

On the other hand, the media, consumer services, and telecommunication services sectors levelled up 2.94%, 1.38%, and 1.16%, respectively.

Saudi Airlines Catering Co.’s stock was TASI’s worst performer after decreasing 4.71% to close at SAR 80.70, whereas Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Al Asmak) stock jumped 9.98% to SAR 31.75. 

Al Inma Bank’s stock was the most active after 40.53 million shares were exchanged, generating SAR 780.4 million, despite dropping 1.79% to finish Sunday at SAR 19.20.

In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, slipped 2.91 points, or 0.09%, to end at 3,155.54 points.

Baazeem Trading’s stock levelled down 5.09% to SAR 25, whereas the stock of Abo Moati for Bookstores gained 1.87% to SAR 12.
